Czech Open 2025

The battle for first place in Section “B” was exciting right up to the final round. Three players finished tied at the top with 7.5/9. Thanks to the best tiebreak, it was the Czech player Lukáš Zelba who emerged as the winner—remaining undefeated throughout the tournament and playing most of his games on the top boards. Second place went to Jinwoo Noh from South Korea, whose chances for victory slipped away in the crucial seventh round, where he lost with the black pieces against the eventual champion. Third place was claimed by Berman Ostrovsky of Israel, who finished the tournament with three draws, one of them against Lukáš Zelba. Congratulations to all the winners!
