S - open 4-member team tournament of youngsters up to 16 years of age
18.7. 2008
Right of participation: 4-member teams with max. of 2 substitutes composed of players born in
1992 and younger without performance limitations
System of tournament: Swiss system of 7 rounds, teams are set
according to average ELO of the first 4 players presented on the list, the team
bears the name of the chess club which has more than half players as members or
federation whose members are all players, on the list may be max. 6 players who
have been arranged according to their approximate efficiency, if a substitute
starts, individual chessboards are shifted. It is not permitted to change or
complete the list during the contest.
Criteria used for ranking:
1. total of points gained on individual chessboards (so called olympic system)
2. Buchholz
3. middle Buchholz
4. Sonnenborn-Berger
5. lot
Rating of tournament: 20 minutes for a game and a player
Material prizes
Starting fee for team: 8,5 EUR
Late registrations: Those teams whose application will be registered after
15.6. 2008 will pay additional charge of 2,- EUR.
Time schedule of the Tournament: Thursday 17.7. 10.00 - 22.00 - registration
Friday 18.7. 08.00 - 09.00 - registration
Friday 18.7. 10.00 - 12.20 - 1.-3. round
Friday 18.7. 13.00 - 16.10 - 4.-7. round
Friday 18.7. 16.45 - presentation of results
Place: Registration, presentation of results and all games will take place at the CEZ Arena.
