G4 - European Amateurs Championship with ELO < 1800 in active chess
22.-23.7. 2009
Right of participation: players from ECU countries whose ELO (FIDE and national as well) is smaller than 1800 (in case they have neither ELO FIDE nor national, they may have max. II. EC)
European Amateurs Championship: European champions (man and woman) in category ELO < 1800 will become the best placed players (man and woman)
System of tournament: Swiss system of 9 rounds
Criteria used for ranking:
1. number of points
2. Buchholz
3. middle Buchholz
4. average ELO of rivals
5. lot
Rating of tournament: 30 minutes for a game and a player
Material prizes for 10 best players and 3 best women
ECU member federations have the right to nominate 1 player and 1 woman player with corresponding ELO without paying starting fee till 15.6. 2009.
Starting fee: 10 EUR
Discounts: young players up to 18 years of age, seniors over 65 years of age and women have 25% discount, these discounts do not refer to additional charge for late registration and are not added up
Late registrations: Those players whose application will be registered after
15.6. 2009 will pay additional charge of 2 EUR.

Wednesday 22.7. 09.00 - 16.00 - registration
Wednesday 22.7. 18.00 - 22.00 - 1.-3. round
Thursday 23.7. 09.00 - 13.00 - 4.-6. round
Thursday 23.7. 14.00 - 18.00 - 7.-9. round
Thursday 23.7. 18.30 - 18.45 - presentation of results
Place: Registration, presentation of results and all games will take place at the CEZ Arena
