Dear chessfriends,
It is an honour for me to invite you to the 20th Jubilee CZECH OPEN Festival in Pardubice. European Youth Chess Teams Championship and ISCU Children Clubs Chess Championship will take place during this year's festival (you can find more detailed information in the separate regulations of the competitions). For the sixth time some of the tournaments have been granted the status Open European Amateurs Championship. Polgar Superstar Chess World Championship with the prize fund more than 5 000 USD and a tournament in Ingols chess will certainly enrich the festival programme. The fastest growing tournament, Open Championship of the Czech Republic of 4-member teams, will be moved to more spacious CEZ Arena.
In order to oblige you the most, we have reduced starting fees for chosen tournaments and preserved last year's prices for other tournaments.
Just as last year we have prepared in cooperation with P. Ministr company three social evenings at the swimming pool. Within the frame of the festival the publishing of a new book by GM Sergej Movsesjan and IM Lukas Klima The phenomenon of Pardubice will be celebrated. It will be published in Czech and English language.
